Many of you are in multiple leagues - this is my first year having three paid leagues - and one of them already had their draft. I hate drafting this early. There are always training camp surprises (i.e. injuries) and holdouts, etc.
The league is in the World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF) and it's a 12-team PPR league and we had the No. 2 pick. Here's our team:
QBs: Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Delhomme
RBs: Steven Jackson, Willis McGahee, Thomas Jones, LaMont Jordan, Chris Henry, Michael Bush
WRs: Plaxico Burress, Laveranues Coles, Mike Furrey, DJ Hackett, Joe Jurevicius, Reggie Williams, Devin Hester
TEs: Tony Gonzales, Daniel Graham
Def./Sp. Teams: Miami, Jax
K: Jason Elam
I love our RBs and our WRs are OK. We (my partner and I) are of the philosophy that you can't have enough RBs. We can start three, along with three WRs. There is no trading in the league, either, and pickups are auction style.
If Hass stays healthy and the WRs just catch balls, we'll be fine - we won't need them to score a lot of TDs....
While the draft was fun - they always are - but drafting this early really serves no purpose....
